The Tesla billionaire giant, Elon Musk, has come under fire again as Twitter accept his $44 billion (£35.05 billion) deal to buy. Musk has often been under scrutiny and isn't always a fan favourite. From his controversial Twitter posts to his SpaceX tourism. But now, rumours that the world's richest man may be making the platform private has caused a contentious issue. 

Although some are excited about the new changes, such as Joe Rogan, many Twitter workers believe that the self-confessed ‘free speech absolutist’ Elon Musk’s take over will breed hate speech and other cultural issues. But what does this all mean for the planet?

After developing SpaceX tourism, Elon Musk has already spread anger across the climate change community. As he parts with his $44 billion deal, only 16.3% of his net worth, many argue how else he could use his wealth to help.

The Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change says that without action, the planet will endure a 1.5°C increase in temperature. A change that will cause catastrophic damage to already fragile ecosystems, animal wellbeing and even humanity. Something the R&B icon Rihanna knows all too well. So, she donated $15 million to 18 different climate justice groups, including The Caribbean Climate Justice Project.
